Emma M. Klinnert, 83, of Wabasha, died early Sunday morning, September 15, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 10, 1936, in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Koth) Schieb. She married Robert Klinnert November 10, 1961, in Elgin, IL, and the family moved to Wabasha in 1978. He preceded her in death September 16, 2012.
Emma owned and operated a daycare business at the time of her retirement and was formerly a school bus driver.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Pam and Steve Kellogg, Winona, MN, Jeff and Barb Klinnert, Wabasha, MN, Laurie and Bob Hebert, Lake City, MN, Al and Heidi Klinnert, Lake City, MN, Mary Harms, Wabasha, MN, Kara Klinnert, Plainview, MN, Krystal Klinnert, Winona, and Kaden Klinnert, Winona, MN; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter, Theresa Breitung, grandson, Tony Hebert, who died during active service in Iraq in 2007, her parents, and sister, Margaret Koth.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha. After the visitation, interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Wabasha. The reception will follow at the VFW Club in Wabasha.
