Jessalyn B. Camery, 94, of Wabasha, MN, passed away December 31, 2019, at Prelude Homes and Services, Woodbury, MN.
Jessalyn “Jess” was born November 26, 1925, in Delavan, MN to Jess E. and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Pietsch) Brinkema. She graduated from Mankato High School, Mankato, MN. In May of 1945, she married James C. Camery, while he was on leave during his service in the US Navy. After his discharge, Jess and Jim moved to Apple Valley, California where he was an Electrical Engineer instructor for the United States Military. They left California and moved back to Minnesota and settled in Minnetonka in 1957. After they retired, they moved to Wabasha, MN in 1990.
They were married for 73 years at the time of his death. Jess and Jim had three children and four grandchildren, Jay (Patty) Camery, JoLinda (Rick) Crosby, JoAllyn Camery, and grandchildren, Jaymes, Beth, Trace and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters: Arlene Foldes and Lila Haug; and a brother Richard Brinkema.
The family will have a celebration of her life and burial with her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a future date.
