Michael A. Langanki, age 65, of Rochester, formerly of Wabasha, died Monday, February 25, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus in Rochester. Mike was born November 12, 1953 in Wabasha, the son of Dalton ‘Bud’ and Delores (Wobbe) Langanki. He resided in Wabasha his entire life until moving to Rochester this past June. In his younger years he attended school in Kellogg and then attended Wabasha County Development Achievement Center in Wabasha. He was currently residing in Rochester with Bear Creek Service and attending Ability Achievement Center.
He was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle, listening to polka music, eating out with his family and friends and going to church.
Mike is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Dennis Iverson, Owatonna, MN, Linda and Dan Monahan, Plainview, MN, and brother and his friend, Robert Langanki, Rochester, MN and Daphne Langbehn, Mazeppa, MN; nieces and nephews, Angie and Mitch Ohnstad, Amber Iverson, Ethan Monahan and Justine Monahan; three great-nieces, Finley and Piper Ohnstad and Ava Monahan; uncle and aunts, Bob and Ann Wobbe, Marie Passe, and Tina Wobbe Schuth, all of Wabasha, MN, Kathleen Langanki, Big Fork, MN and Charlotte Langanki, Monticello, MN; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Delores Langanki and several uncles and aunts.
A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00am at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with Pastor Cheryl Nymann officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service. Memorials are preferred to Bear Creek Services, the Arc Southeastern Minnesota or St. Elizabeth’s Health Care Center.
